A classical solution of the Cauchy problem, which describes in a linear approximation the decay of acoustic vibrations in a fluid, allowing for the thermal conductivity of the medium, is constructed and its uniqueness class is isolated, using methods for the analysis of integrals which depend on a large parameter. An asymptotic representation of the solution for long times is constructed.
