Understanding network losses is important regarding energy efficiency and grid regulation. A method was developed to determine grid losses for each voltage level of a distribution grid and to investigate the influence of distributed generation and reactive power. The losses in an actual distribution grid in northern Germany with a high share of PV and wind energy are calculated.
The new antifungal strobilurins I (1) and K (19) are 3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[b][1,4]dioxepin derivatives. Their structure and stereochemistry was determined by degradation to aldehyde 3. Both enantiomers of 3 were synthesised and the absolute configurations assigned by the high-field 1 H NMR variant of Mosher's method. (S)-3 is identical with the compound derived from the natural products...
From fruit-bodies of the Japanese mushroom Boletus laetissimus two polyene pigments boletocrocin A and B were isolated and their structures determined by spectroscopic methods. The compounds represent diamides of hexadecaheptaenedioic acid with isoleucine and either aspartic acid or asparagine. The l-configuration of the amino acids was established after acid hydrolysis. The structures of five structurally...
