The catalytic properties of bulk and supported HPW catalysts in the gaz phase hydration of propene were studied and compared to the reactivity of H-ZSM-5 zeolite. The nature of the intermediate products was investigated by FTIR spectroscopy.HPW-based catalysts showed higher performance in alcohol formation than H-ZSM-5. Different mechanisms of hydration were proposed on the basis of kinetic and spectral...
12-Tungstophosphoric acid, H 3 PW 12 O 40 (HPW), was supported over conventional mesoporous silica and MCM-41. The acidity of these supported materials and their catalytic activity in n-butane isomerisation were investigated. The differences in activity between these two series of supported HPW were ascribed to different HPW dispersion. Modification of the mesoporous...
Titanium silicates with the ZSM-48 structure have been synthesized using a new templating molecule, the trimethylpropylammonium cation. The crystallization period was relatively short compared with that observed with hexamethonium cations. This synthesis route allowed the preparation of zeolites with 1.5 Ti/unit cell, which is the highest value ever reported for this structure in the literature.
