This paper deals with a current-fed full bridge dc-dc converter. By the results of an analytical investigation, the impact of the transformer's winding ratio, its leakage inductance and dimension of input inductor on the converter's efficiency is emphasized. Out of this, design considerations for the converter are given. Experimental results, taken from a 1.2 kW prototype, are shown.
