Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a relatively new medical imaging method, and has the advantages of being inexpensive, safe, non-invasive and portable. Complementary to CT and MRI, it reconstructs images of impedance changes from the EIT sensor arrays. Its principal shortcoming is poor spatial resolution. One approach to improving spatial resolution is to include prior information regarding...
The composite of nano-ZnO/LDPE was prepared via the method of double-solution mixture. Space charge distribution, volume resistivity and ac breakdown strength were measured in LDPE and its composite by adding nano-ZnO with different mass proportions before and after photo-oxidation for several days. It was found that 3 wt% ZnO nano-particles could effectively improve the photo-stabilization of LDPE...
Carbon nanotube (CNT) based bioconjugates are among the candidates for molecular level electronics. In this work, we have studied transport mechanism of single walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) - peptide nucleic acid (PNA) bioconjugates. Electrical conductivity of the bioconjugates was studied at temperatures ranging from 70 K to 350 K. Negative differential resistance (NDR) behavior was observed at almost...
This paper reports on magnetic properties of bulk polycrystalline samples of ln2O3 doped with a wide range of TM ions. Phase purity of the samples was analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction and conductivity was also measured using a four-probe technique. From magnetization-temperature curves (M-T curves), it was shown that Cr doped samples was found to be paramagnetic throughout the whole temperature...
Time-domain THz spectroscopy of a GaAs 2D electron gas in magnetic fields reveals long-lived (~50 ps) coherent oscillations. From the field-dependent oscillation frequency, we attribute these oscillations to the free induction decay of cyclotron resonance.
