A simple approach for optically generating monocycle and doublet UWB pulses in a single SOA is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The scheme is switchable in both pulse shape and pulse polarity.
In this work, FPGA implementation of the compression function for four of the second round candidates of the SHA-3 competition are presented. All implementations w ere performed using the same technology and optimization techniques to present a fair comparison between the candidates. Achieved results are compared with similar implementations to provide a comprehensive comparison of candidates performance...
Multi-layer Provisioning (MLP) of End-to-End light-path in OBS/GMPLS interworking network is successfully demonstrated by introducing extensions to MPLS signaling protocol in LOBS network. The feasibility of this mechanism was experimentally verified in an OBS/GMPLS testbed. In contrast to pervious single-layer resource provision mechanism, MLP ensures stable and high throughput of Reno TCP transportation.
This paper presents a new technique which combines variable-threshold (VT) keeper with split-domino (SD) logic technique to improve the power performance. The proposed technique yields 9-14% energy reduction, with 10% area overhead. We will compare the proposed method with the-state-of-the art for reducing leakage current in domino logic circuits. A 16-bit multiplexer circuit, in 0.13 mum CMOS technology...
Impact of OBS and TCP parameters on instantaneous behavior (fluctuations) of TCP cwnd is evaluated on LOBS Testbed. Experimental and simulation results show that cwnd fluctuations can be reduced by tuning OBS and TCP parameters.
Dynamic protection/restoration schemes supporting QoS were proposed in OBS/GMPLS interworking network for the first time. Dynamic offset time scheme supported by OBS extensions was also verified.
In this paper, we present an ILP formulation to assist designers to identify the architectural design, binding schema and scheduling algorithm while satisfying physical constraints such as available logic resources, computation time and memory usage used. Directing the solver to optimise for logic usage, execution time, or other parameters allows ease of exploration of the design space. This case...
We consider a network of three identical neurons whose dynamics is governed by the Hopfield's model with delay to account for the finite switching speed of amplifiers (neurons). We show that in a certain region of the space of (α,β), where α and β are the normalized parameters measuring, respectively, the synaptic strength of self-connection and neighbourhood-interaction, each solution of the network...
