The fauna of south‐east Brazilian mountains was sampled and revealed two new species of Frieseinae, Friesea curupira sp. nov. and Friesea boitata sp. nov. The first is an unpigmented species with 1 + 1 eye, no furca and two anal spines. The second species is very similar to F. reducta Denis, 1931.
