Samenvatting Hij werkt al 32 jaar in dit vak, vertelt hij me de ochtend waarop ik met hem meeloop. Mensen met dementie verplegen, hij heeft nooit iets anders willen doen. We beginnen die dag bij een hoogbejaarde vrouw van wie hij bij de overdracht heeft begrepen dat ze slecht geslapen heeft.
Samenvatting De afgelopen zomer stonden de kranten vol met artikelen over de kwaliteit van de verpleeghuiszorg in Nederland. Aanleiding was de publicatie van de zogenoemde ‘zwarte lijst’ door de Inspectie voor de Gezondheidszorg. Op die lijst stonden de namen van verpleeghuizen die ondermaats zouden presteren.
