It is well known that a perceptron cannot be used to implement the XOR function but that a feed forward network with some hidden neurons can. The purpose of this work is to show that a Hopfield style network can also be used to implement the XOR function. It is shown here that the XOR function can be implemented in a Hopfield style network using only two hidden neurons.
