There is strong recent interest in exploiting the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies for cellular communication. For signal transmission studies, one needs a channel model that can simulate the spatial variation of mmWave channel impulse responses (CIRs) in treated operating environments. We consider reconstruction of spatially varying CIRs by interpolation over a set of existing CIR snapshots for...
A two-transistor antifuse OTP memory macro using permanent MOS-gate-oxide breakdown as a programming scheme is fabricated and characterized. The antifuse OTP bitcell is composed of an NMOS as antifuse element and as a select transistor. Characterization shows that this solution is a viable technology option for modern OTP and electrical fuse applications.
This paper presents 3D IC design of a fully integrated four-phase buck converter. The control circuit was implemented in the TSMC 0.18μm CMOS Mixed Signal RF General Purpose MiM Al 1P6M 1.8 & 3.3V process while the passive components were implemented in the tMt Glass Substrate Integrated Passive Device (IPD) Process, and then these two dies are stacked. Thus, a high output loading current can...
Multicore instruction-set simulation (MCISS) has become more and more important due to tremendous increase in number of multicore designs. To boost the speed of MCISS, one of the most effective and commonly used approaches is parallel simulation. However, timing synchronization must be applied to ensure accurate simulation results of parallel MCISS, and may induce huge synchronization overhead. In...
This paper is motivated by the tremendous energy consumption of streaming video servers and the energy-economic nature of solid-state drives. An energy-aware data placement strategy with its associated scheduling policy is proposed for streaming video servers equipped with solid-state drives (SSDs). A skewed energy-aware load over SSDs and disks is adopted with a duplication policy to deal with popular...
For the high speed substrate design, the synchronization of the signals is one of the most important concerns. Time delay control methodologies that are based on high speed substrate design rules which include equalizing differences between the same group high speed transmission lines, maximizing time balance between different high speed transmission lines and balancing over all nets difference between...
