We consider an RLC circuit type realization of a q-deformed harmonic oscillator. The differential equations of motion characterizing this circuit are derived, and it is shown that the RLC circuit gets modified as a result of the q-deformation. The natural frequency, the capacitance and the external power source are all modified and become q-dependent. The energy aspects of the circuit are also studied...
Following the same procedure that allowed Shcrödinger to construct the (canonical) coherent states in the first place, we investigate on a possible classical interpretation of the deformed harmonic oscillator. We find that, these oscillator, also called q-oscillators, can be interpreted as quantum versions of classical forced oscillators with a modified q-dependant frequency.
