The Internet of Things is emerging as a network to connect any device and objects. In this paper we propose an architecture and implementation of a wireless sensor network using standard IoT protocols. Using CoAP, 6LoWPAN, RPL and 802.15.4 standard, we show an application of monitoring physical characteristics of an indoor environment.
