The 3D structure electromagnetic computation presents several difficulties related to the volume mesh. In fact, the entire volume space must be taken into account even the smallest details. In this article, we propose a formulation based on the reciprocity theorem combined with the generalized equivalent circuit method to model a planar 3D structure with both coaxial and planar excitation. The major...
In this paper, we will develop a new formulation to analyse a 3D structure. In fact, the use of the reciprocity theorem allows to extend the MOM-GEC for the resolution of 3D problems. This formulation is applied for analysing a planar antenna excited with a coaxial cable. The validation was performed by comparison with published papers and we present a good agreement.
In this paper the mutual coupling between two opened waveguides is presented with a new approach. Our basic idea consists first to simulate the free space as a rectangular waveguide and we seek the appropriate dimensions that do not affect the scattering parameters. In a second step we use the symmetry principle to reduce the coupling problem to one guide radiating in the free space. For simplification...
In this paper, we present a graphene nano-ribbon based terahertz antenna modeling using the MoM-GEC method (the moments method combined to the generalized equivalent circuit). The quantum mechanical conductivity of graphene is employed to introduce the graphene's effect in the mathematical formulation. The graphene nanoribbon is excited by a located source with unit voltage and shielded in a waveguide...
In this paper, we propose the study of reactive impedance surface (RIS), used especially as reflector for antenna miniaturization, with MoM-GEC method. The electromagnetic modeling using integral methods, such as MoM-GEC, is of great interest because they are the most appropriate to study planar structures, since they provide the reduction of the problem's dimension. Hence, they permit the gain in...
Two time domain integral equations of coupled identical and symmetrically wire antennas are presented. The equations are solved efficiently by method of moments particularly Galerkin's method. The time domain unknown coefficients of the electric currents are approximated using a set of orthonormal basis function that is derived from the Laguerre functions. Numerical results involving transient currents...
