We experimentally measured the photoacoustic responses from monodispersed suspensions of spherical nanoparticles (NPs) of metal (gold, diameter=9.4, 19.9, 40.2, 49.3, and 59.9nm) and dye-containing polymer (polystyrene, diameter=63.1, 73.0, 85.9, and 93.7nm) in water at different NP concentrations and temperatures (4, 20, and 37°C), where the samples were irradiated with 5-ns laser pulses at low laser...
A DSP-aided transmitter-side crosstalk (XT) suppression technique for mode-unbundled transmission is proposed and demonstrated. The cooperatively-modulated OFDM subcarriers suppress the modal XT and enable the treatment of modes as individual channels without MIMO-DSP in a 30-km two-mode fiber link.
A novel optical multi-carrier packet format, which is tolerant of in-band-crosstalk in high-speed optical switches, is proposed and demonstrated experimentally by a 2×2 switching of 10-Gbaud coherent optical OFDM packets.
An attendance management system is developed such that the students present in the class can register their attendance by scanning their student ID cards over not only the teacher's terminal device but also their own personal Android devices. This system solves the problem with the conventional system that it took a long time for all the students to scan their cards by a single terminal device. In...
