We demonstrate a strategy of imaging through a fiber in which the spatial information is encoded into distinct spectrum codes spanning the bandwidth of the object spectrum, enabling high-throughput 2D imaging insensitive to fiber bending.
We demonstrate a radiation mode coupler based on a tilted fiber Bragg grating that spatially demultiplexes different modes in a few-mode fiber. The observed radiation patterns match well with those theoretically predicted using the volume current method. The correlations in measured relative modal weights obtained from this device and an accurate interferometric measurement used as a reference, suggest...
Phase contrast microscopy has had a resurgence of interest during the past decade, particularly owing to the development of methods that are quantitative and fast. I will present two such methods developed in our lab.
