This paper presents a method to spatially diagnose amplitude and phase imbalances of high-frequency/high-speed differential signaling on a wireless device with a high resolution near-field scanning system. The principle of measuring the complex-valued magnetic near fields with vector network analyzer (VNA) is discussed. Then the measured complex-valued magnetic near fields over several differential...
Despite the shorter physical length and superior electrical properties of the vertical interconnects, the arrangement of corresponding grounding pins drastically affects the characteristic impedance, resulting in impedance mismatch during the propagation of signals, which leads to signal reflection. Therefore, to potentially overcome this disadvantage, this paper endeavors to establish the analytical...
This paper presents a frequency and space dependent analytical model of near-field magnetic probe factor with probe tilt angle for measuring electromagnetic emissions. The principle and derivation of the probe factor are elucidated. The vector-network-analyzer (VNA) measurement of the probe factor is also introduced. The correlation between the measured and calculated probe factors is finally demonstrated.
