The DAISI (Design of Accelerators, optImizations and SImulations) is the user-configurable code for plasma and beam dynamics simulations using particle-mesh methods of Vlasov equation solution in electrostatic approximation. Coordinate system, computational domain geometry, boundary conditions and solver settings are specified by user. The user interface is developed using Qt. Additional modules and...
The code development for Poisson equation solving using finite-difference method is discussed in this paper. The developed tool allows to compute electric field on the rectangle mesh with good accuracy even for difficult geometry of computational domain.
The optimization approach to obtain the synchronous phase sequence in APF structure is suggested. The project of APF linac is discussed. The result of beam dynamics simulations are presented.
The problem of intensity electron beam formation in triode type source is considered. The presence of reflected or oscillating electrons results in changing emission current density and source operation parameters. We consider the variation algorithm based on current density function parameterization to determine a self-consistent distribution. Numerical results of beam dynamics simulation for vacuum...
Accelerating-field focusing linacs are now considered to be of remarkable practical importance. Alternating-phase focusing (APF) accelerator based on IH resonator is one of this kind. We make a study of the main parameters of IH resonator from the synchronous phase sequence. The results of the beam dynamics simulation in the standing wave field are presented.
Associated codes the BDO-RFQ and the LIDOS RFQ for optimization parameters of RFQ channel are used. As an example, beam dynamics simulation results for 47.2 MHz RFQ accelerator are discussed.
