We investigate valley polarization dynamics of trions in WSe2 in resonant pump-probe experiments. Intra- and inter-valley trions show distinct polarization dynamics, the former exhibits long-lived valley polarization (> 25 ps), the latter a fast decay of ∼ 4 ps.
We present results of polarization-resolved differential transmission experiments, in which pump and probe pulses are quasi-resonant with charged and neutral excitons in monolayer WSe2. By selecting co- and cross-circular polarization configurations for pump and probe pulses, the excitations in the K and K' valleys can be individually addressed [1]. From far above the band edge excited pump-probe...
Based on the full characterization of a pulse transmitted through a semiconductor optical amplifier by quantum state tomography, we determine the degree of population inversion and the momentary signal-to-noise ratio at sub-picosecond times and RT.
Based on gain excitation spectra derived from two-color pump-probe experiments, we identify crossed exciton states formed in semiconductor nanostructures of mixed dimensionality and investigate their influence on the carrier dynamics.
The observation of coherent light-matter interaction in an ensemble of oscillators requires that a macroscopic number of individual oscillators retain a fixed phase relationship for a significant amount of time. In the condensed phase, given the high density and consequently a very fast dephasing time T2, observable effects are usually limited to low temperatures. We study experimentally and numerically...
We show the occurrence of Rabi oscillation induced pulse shaping and break-up in a 1.3μm wavelength semiconductor quantum-dot optical amplifiers at room temperature in numerical simulations and experimental results.
