Seawater hydraulic axial piston pumps are widely used in underwater apparatus systems in recent years. Reliability of the valve-port plate pair is vital to the performance of seawater hydraulic axial piston pumps. As the distribution information of the material combinations and working conditions of seawater hydraulic axial piston pumps are insufficient, the probability reliability analysis methods...
A theoretical analysis of an annular ring microstrip antenna with metamaterial substrate is presented. The approach is based on the cavity model. By including in the substrate a conventional dielectric material and a metamaterial possessing negative permittivity and permeability, a frequency independent resonance condition is found. Numerical validation of the theoretical results is performed.
Dyadic Green's function for an arbitrarily shaped lossy dielectric object is presented. It is derived based on surface integral equations. Application of the presented dyadic Green's function allows a detailed study of radiation pattern and power loss of an antenna in the presence of a lossy medium. Numerical computations are implemented for a dipole in the vicinity of a lossy dielectric sphere, the...
In this paper, the field distribution in the upper half space is divided into two regions: the fields in the upper hemisphere with r <;ae and the fields in the exterior region r > ae, where ae is a scale dependent on the geometry of the patch and the permittivity of the substrate. By employing dyadic Green's functions expanded in these two regions, an exact solution is obtained to both near...
The presence of voids in insulation materials has deleterious effects on the electrical performance of insulation, and eventually cause breakdown of the insulation. Understanding the physics of partial discharge is a major field of research for the interpretation and identification of insulation defects. The integral equation method presented in this paper provides a general approach to computations...
