Silicon IQ modulator based 80×337.9-Gb/s Nyquist-WDM transmission was experimentally investigated for 42.24 Gbaud PDM-16QAM. The single channel over 1600 km and Nil-channel transmissions over 960 km standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) with EDFA-only were successfully demonstrated.
This paper reports on the direct modulation of externally modulated laser and transmission through single mode fiber of a 56 Gbps duobinary-4-pulse amplitude modulation signal through 10 GHz class optics.
We report 480km transmission of C-band 80×453.2Gb/s PDM-eOFDM hybrid 8–64QAM DWDM signals over G.652 fiber and EDFA-only link at 9b/s/Hz spectral efficiency based on silicon IQ modulator and 84.48G sample/s DAG
Novel duobinary-4-PAM signaling is experimentally demonstrated to support a 4-lane low-latency 400GbE client side solution. Direct detection of 112 Gbps transmission over a 5 km single wavelength and polarization fiber link is achieved.
40/100/400 Gb/s mixed line rate transmission performance is investigated for different spectrum allocation schemes in flexgrid optical networks. The results show that grouped and ungrouped allocation schemes have similar transmission performance with balanced launch power.
Grouping same line-rate channels makes no difference in growth-only networks, but significantly reduces fragmentation in dynamic networks and improves overall network throughput, particularly in congested operation scenarios.
An iterative Wiener deconvolution approach is proposed to monitor optical power from broadened spectrum. Experimental results show that it can accurately monitor the power in a mixed line rate network with 50-GHz spacing.
The fundamental solutions are obtained for a unit-concentrated displacement discontinuity in a three-dimensional transversely isotropic medium. The method of solution involves reducing the problem to a system of hyper-singular integral equations by application of these fundamental solutions. The near crack border elastic displacement and stress are obtained. Stress intensity factors can be expressed...
