The feasibility of assembling enzymes, catalyzing consecutive reactions, on to a double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) scaffold utilizing zinc finger motifs is described. The catalytic activities of two zinc finger motif-fused enzymes catalyzing a bioluminescence reaction with energy recycling, namely pyruvate phosphate dikinase and firefly luciferase, have been evaluated. Bioluminescence measurements with...
We have demonstrated wavelength demultiplexing and switching in variable index arrayed waveguides by carrier injection. Array waveguide dependent refractive index change was observed and 2 port switching was obtained in the fabricated device.
Random switching of wavelength demultiplexed light is numerically calculated in the variable index arrayed waveguide. Wavelength demultiplexed light is randomly switched in 4 output ports by changing the refractive index of variable index arrayed waveguide with 16 array waveguides. In the calculation, the phase differences in each array waveguide, and the diffraction in the star coupler are considered.
We have demonstrated wavelength switching in variable index arrayed waveguides by TO effect. Four-port switching with demultiplexed 4 wavelengths light was achieved and consumption power was reduced half compared to the previous switching device.
