Method of obtaining sintered and pressed composed materials based on BaxSr1−xHfO3, where x = 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, with 16, 20, 24, 60 % W (by mass), and experimental results of thermionic properties investigations of these materials are represented. The composition of 80% Ba0.75Sr0.25HfO3 — 20% W (by mass) is characterized by the thermionic current density of 1014 A/cm2 at T = 1620 K.
The technique for producing impregnated cathodes with a Re-W ldquospongerdquo matrix (75%-Re/25%-W mass ratio) and 3BaOmiddot0.5CaOmiddotAl2O3 as the emissive active substance has been developed. The emission properties of such cathodes with normal impregnation and of one with excess of emissive active substance have been studied. The cathodes with the normal impregnation have higher emission properties...
Results of development, emission properties investigations, and applications of cathode materials based on lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6), LaB6-MeIV-VIB2, and also rhenium-tungsten (Re-W) dispenser and pressed-oxide cathodes are presented. Emission properties of a novel class of directionally crystallized lanthanum hexaboride-based eutectics have been studied. The LaB6-MeIV-VIB2 composites exhibit improved...
Method of obtaining hot-pressed composed cathodes based on barium hafnate with tungsten with different percentage of components and experimental results of thermoemission properties investigations of these cathodes are represented. It is shown that cathodes of 63 mass% BaHfO3 + 37 mass% W is most effective one. It allows to obtain the thermoemission current density 230 A/cm2 at 2000 K. Evaporation...
