A new least squares Harmonic identification technique is developed. This technique is used basically to estimate the fundamental component of the current drawn by nonlinear loads in order to calculate the reference currents of the active power filter on line. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is tested under a sudden change of the nonlinear load. The performance of the proposed technique...
The problem of regulating linear discrete interconnected system with delayed interconnections between the sub-systems, using local state feedback is investigated. The problem is transformed to that of assigning the poles of an augmented system having twice the dimension of the original system with no delays.
It is shown that the Goodwin-Ramadge-Caines method for adaptive control of discrete-time systems may be used for the identification of system parameters. An expression for the optimal gain constant is derived. Then, the algorithm may be modified to allow for improved convergence and maintenance of linear relationships of the unknown parameters of the system.
