We have developed a sub-two-cycle intense infrared light source using novel BiB3O6 (BIBO)-based optical parametric amplifiers for the generation of high harmonics in soft X rays. The cutoff of high harmonics has extended to ∼320 eV, which is well beyond the carbon K edge. The spectral structures and their dependences on the carrier-envelope phase strongly suggest the generation of single isolated...
This paper describes the phase noise reduction technique by controlling terminal impedance of fundamental and second harmonic frequencies in VCO. To achieve low phase noise, the correlation between phase noise and second harmonic impedance in oscillator is investigated and two conditions to suppress phase noise are revealed. According to this investigation, a novel VCO is proposed to optimize the...
We generated high harmonics using a multi-millijoule few-cycle carrier-envelope-phase-locked optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification (OPCPA) system. We observed the high harmonics in the water window and the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) effect on the harmonic spectra.
A dramatic enhancement of harmonics and the extension of cutoff were observed in a linearly polarized two-color laser field below 10 nm. The intense soft X-ray supercontinuum provides an alternative for the attosecond generation.
Isolated XUV pulses with a temporal duration of 950 as were characterized by the autocorrelation technique based on two-photon above threshold ionization.
