Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) is used for efficient content delivery to multiple users in Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. In most cases eMBMS allows to use radio resources more efficiently comparing to unicast content delivery. It will be shown in this paper how many users should receive the same content to activate broadcasting instead of unicast delivery.
Currently, prominent 4G wireless networking technologies receive increasing attention from the research community. Represented by 3GPP LTE and IEEE 802.16 cellular standards, they support both stationary and mobile users. Due to the limited power budget of the latter, the energy efficient behavior is becoming of primary importance. In order to save power and maximize battery lifetime (without recharging)...
We analyze the reheating in the modification of the νMSM (Standard Model with three right handed neutrinos with masses below the electroweak scale) where one of the sterile neutrinos, which provides the Dark Matter, is generated in decays of the additional inflaton field. We deduce that due to rather inefficient transfer of energy from the inflaton to the Standard Model sector reheating tends to occur...
Motivated by recent developments, we explore some issues in Affleck-Dine baryogenesis. We consider in greater detail the role of thermal effects in the production of baryon number. We find that these effects are important even for rather flat potentials, and obtain somewhat different estimates of the baryon asymmetry than those in the literature. We also consider the decay of the condensate, and possible...
