We demonstrate a tool for quantitative measurements in the linear and non-linear extreme ultraviolet (XUV) spectral region measuring spatially resolved atomic ionization products at the focus of an XUV beam [1, 2]. The ionizing radiation is a comb of the 11th-15th harmonics of a Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser beam produced in a Xenon gas jet. The spatial ion distribution at the focus of the harmonics...
The authors present results on the production of high energy, in the range of multi-ten nJ, coherent continuum radiation generated by the interaction of rare gases with a high power many-cycle laser field. The emission occurs as a result of an improved IPG technique. This radiation can support intense isolated asec pulses capable to induce two-XUV-photon processes in matter.
The study of the laser pulse duration effect on the silicon micro-spikes morphology is presented. The microcones were produced by ultraviolet (248nm) laser irradiation of doped Si wafers in SF 6 environment. The laser pulse duration was adjusted at 450fs, 5ps and 15ns. We have analyzed the statistical nature of the spikes’ morphological characteristics, such as periodicity and apex angle by...
