This paper presents a dual-band 2×2 WiFi transceiver in 28nm bulk CMOS. Achieved receiver and transmitter EVM floor at 5GHz for 160MHz per channel are −35dB and −33dB, respectively. The 2.4GHz integrated PA provides 26.5dBm saturated output power while its 5GHz counterpart delivers 26dBm. The 2.4GHz receiver features mixer first architecture while the transmitter includes a 2nd harmonic notch for...
Based on the ray tracing method, the outdoor propagation characteristic at 28GHz are simulated and analyzed by comparison with the conventional 2.6GHz cellular band. The path loss is discussed in both line-of-sight and none-line-of-sight, and then the delay spread is analyzed at 28GHz and 2.6GHz. The analysis provides the foundation for the coverage of outdoor microcellular systems.
Ray tracing method is an effective way to study radio propagation. In this paper, the indoor millimeter-wave propagation at 37.2GHz is simulated and analyzed by the ray tracing method. By comparison with reported measurement results, the validity of the ray tracing method is verified and analyzed, and then the propagation characteristic at 37.2GHz is studied under the different transmitted antenna
Broadcast channels with correlated sources are considered from a joint source-channel coding perspective, where each receiver is kept in ignorance of the source intended for the other receiver. This setting can be seen as a generalization of Han-Costa's broadcast channel with correlated sources under additional secrecy constraints on both receivers. General outer and inner bounds for this reliable...
Most of the existing threshold proxy signature schemes were under the certificate-based public key systems. However, in these schemes, some revealed that the receiver cannot find out who signed the proxy signatures. In this paper, based on Schnorr's signature scheme, integrating the short secret key characteristic of the elliptic curve cryptosystem, we proposed a novel (t, n) threshold proxy signature...
Proxy signature can be combined other special signature to obtain some new types of proxy signature. Threshold proxy signature is a variant of the proxy signature. Most of existing threshold proxy signature schemes based on the certificate-based public key systems. But, in some cases, the receiver cannot find out who signed the proxy signatures. In this paper, we put forward to a novel identity-based...
A novel diversity-multiplexing decision switched algorithm is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system based on variable-rate MQAM. The proposed scheme is a closed-loop system, achieves adaptive bit and power allocation according to real-time channel state information (CSI), and the tradeoff between the diversity and multiplexing gains that can simultaneously achieved over a low-rate...
Most of proposed threshold proxy signature schemes have been based on discrete logarithms which required for a protocol to generate and verify a shared secret among the proxy group. Therefore, it is necessary for the proxy signers to perform many expensive modular exponential operations and communications to obtain and verify a shared secret. Moreover, most of the existing threshold proxy signature...
Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems are considered as potential candidates for future high data rates wireless networks. However these systems present a practical problem which is the cost of hardware related to every additional antenna. In this paper, we present an effective suboptimal antenna algorithm based on frame error rate for MIMO systems. It only needs a sorted QR decomposition...
We present a new receiver structure able to deliver high data rates in a multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) frequency selective wireless environment. The new algorithm is obtained by canceling interference from the received symbols successively with the decision feed-forward equalizer (DFE) solution as a well known expression encountered in fast recursive least squares (RLS) adaptive algorithms, and...
A fast square-root detection algorithm for V-BLAST is proposed to improve the high complexities when conventional square-root detection algorithm detects in MIMO receivers. It simplifies the computing process of conventional square-root detection algorithm and proposes a parallel processing algorithm of decided signal's feedback and received signal's interference cancellation. The detection complexities...
Recently, a combined transmitter antenna selection/receiver-maximal-ratio-combining (TAS/MRC) scheme has been proposed to reduce the complexity of system and retain the diversity advantage. In this paper, we investigate the performance of the TAS/MRC scheme over correlated Nakagami fading channels. The characteristics function method is used to derive an exact bit-error rate expression, in which only...
