A nonlinear system of two coupled partial differential equations models miscible displacement of one incompressible fluid by another in a porous medium. A sequential implicit time-stepping procedure is defined, in which the pressure and Darcy velocity of the mixture are approximated simultaneously by a mixed finite element method and the concentration is approximated by an orthogonal collocation method...
The compressible miscible displacement in a porous media is considered in this paper. The concentration is treated by a characteristics collocation method, and the pressure is treated by an orthogonal collocation method. Optimal order estimates in L2-norm and numerical experiment are derived.
Wave equations with variable coefficients are considered by the orthogonal collocation method and ADI collocation method. The first method discretizes the second order time term directly and introduces new operator. The second method introduces a new perturbing term that is a mixed derivative function, so the schemes possess stability. The optimal results of two methods are also derived in this paper.
A flexible and high performance SoC is developed for networked media applications by integrating two RISC cores, Ethernet interface and coarse-grained configurable video decoding unit. Real-time 1280??720@25fps MPEG-2/MPEG-4/RealVideo decoding is achieved for on-line video streams. The SoC is fabricated in 0.13um single-poly eight-metal CMOS technology with die size of 6.4mm * 6.4mm. To achieve low...
An ASIC-design-based configurable SOC architecture, which is high performance, flexible, programmable, and compiler-independent, is designed for networked media applications. A coarse-grained parallel computing mechanism is employed in this architecture. Mapping this architecture to a specific application is demonstrated through an example in multimedia application. The design is validated in a powerful...
