The result of studies on improving Polish tobacco by the enzymatic treatment were presented. The polysaccharide-hydrolyzing enzymes hemicellulase, cellulase and commercial pectinolytic preparation Pektopol, were applied.
The improved method of obtaining smoke flavouring from condensed wood smoke was elaborated. This method consists of the fractional distillation of the wood smoke condensate, previously eliminating of nitrogen bases and of the extractive destillation with the coresponding glycols.
