Paper presents effect of preservation of pine wood with silicone-in-water emulsion on its hygroscopic properties. Two types of emulsions were tested, Ahydrosil K and Antigraf 02. Preserved wood samples were soaked for 15 days. Preservation results were compared to unprotected control samples. Decrease of swell and absorbability of exposed to water preserved wood was observed.
