Vibrations of NaCl-water microdroplets deposited on a vertically oscillating superhydrophobic substrate are studied using whispering gallery mode (WGM) optical spectroscopy. By monitoring the WGM width at different oscillation frequencies, lowest-order axisymmetric mechanical resonances are observed in agreement with the theoretical prediction.
