The paper presents historical Dominican library in Różanystok of the first half of the 19th century from the perspective of documentation and typographical centers. Books of these centres were placed in the Order of Preachers located on the border of historical Polish Crown and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Components such as the language and publishing provenance were used in the Dominican historical books. Links between different cultural books’ institutions and above all differences between regions are showed in this paper. The basic sources are the inventories from the first half of the19th century, which contain bibliographic descriptions and enable better identification of books. Despite the binding Dominican’s rules, the results indicate the characteristics of the libraries and differences between them in various regions.
