Modeling and filtering of a mobile object stochastic trajectory on the basis of fractal Wiener process taking into account the Hurst indicator are offered. For numerical realization of this processes the wavelet based decomposition is used. The peculiarities of trajectory parameters estimation by using Kalman filter and the wavelet algorithm are investigated. The illustrating examples are given.
In this study, the motion of an inverted pendulum mobile platform is extended to omnidirectional motion. omnidirectional motion is implemented by a drive unit constructed from paired mecanum wheels. The mechanism of the omnidirectional drive unit replaces the two parallel wheels of the inverted pendulum mobile platform and extends its motion to an omnidirectional motion. The mechanism of the omnidirectional...
In this paper, we consider wireless caching in device-to-device (D2D) cooperative networks and propose a new definition,energy-consumption-ratio (ECR), to measure the energy efficiency that caching schemes can achieve. Based on this definition,we formulate an optimal energy-efficient caching problem and develop a caching scheme, named SBRC-2S. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms...
On the base of variational method, the new numerically effective procedures of echo-signals parameters estimation in passive coherent radar systems have been developed. These procedures are suitable for mobile objects echo-signals detection and their parameters estimation in real time.
Mobile communications have evolved in a very rapid manner along with other fast-growing communication technologies. The widespread use of this technology has turned mobile communications into a life style. Thus the necessity for high quality and high capacity networks with thorough coverage has become one of the major demands. Many models have been proposed to cover the signal strength measurements...
This paper presents a study of mathematical description for inertial navigation systems and integration of virtual sensors implementation. Virtual sensors allow to estimate quantities detecting events or changes in its environment, to calculate variables such velocity, position and attitude on rigid or mobile bodies of navigation systems. Recently, the creation of smaller devices and lightweight micro-machined...
As the key to both offline and online business, consumers' trust to retailers always influences their purchase decision. In recent years, based on the traditional business, more and more click and mortar companies spring up. But could consumers' trust transfer from offline to online channel? And how? Extant researches lack deep exploration for these questions. In this study, introducing perceived...
In this paper, the authors present a Two-Step approach that sequentially adjusts generation and distribution values of the (dynamic) OD matrix. While the proposed methodology already provided excellent results for updating demand flows on a motorway, the aim of this paper is to validate this conclusion on a real network: Luxembourg City. This network represents the typical middle-sized European city...
The paper deals with a design of model predictive control (MPC) as an example of the advanced local motion control of articulated robot arms in the scope of manipulation operations within the intradepartmental transportation among workplaces. Initially, the use of articulated robotic arms as a part of mobile robotic systems is discussed. Then, the convenient composition of mathematical models of kinematics...
In the mobile platforms such as legged platforms and wheeled platforms, there is a mass drift due to the acceleration and deceleration. This mass drift induces a rotating pitch angle based on an axis of mass center. In the mobile platforms, if the front or rear driving axis such as wheels and legs axis does not contact with the terrain, then the driving power does not contribute to get the traction...
This paper intends to propose a model of adjustment to the Standard Propagation Model (SPM) for personal mobile communication to fourth generation networks, known as Long Term Evolution (LTE), being implemented in Brazil, whose complexity of urban and suburban environments determine a particular parameterization, in order to plan and design more efficiently and optimally these networks, as well the...
Many group activities can be represented as a complex network where entities (vertices) are connected in pairs by lines (edges). Uncovering a useful global structure of complex networks is important for understanding system behaviors and in providing global guidance for application designs. We briefly review existing network models, discuss several tools used in the traditional graph theory, distributed...
Mobile web traffic and application data demands are growing at a rapid rate and are at odds with resource-constrained, data-capped, wireless mobile devices. Data compression can be used to reduce web traffic, save energy, and make network transfers faster. Compression can, however, hurt performance if not used judiciously. We propose Locomotive, a library that improves the performance of network transfers...
With advances in Internet technology and prominence of mobile and smart devices in our lives, opportunistic and pervasive networks are now ubiquitous in solving many existing service limitations. The challenge lies in the underlying time-varying graph of the network due to mobility and intermittent connectivity. This introduces technical limitations in successful realization of services and applications...
Efficient interference control is a prerequisite for realizing the possible capacity gains in large heterogeneous networks. An efficient way to do this is to mute some Base Station (BS) transmissions in some time frames to let other BSs serve their users. Two approaches for doing this is studied; a simple one similar to the schemes used in current mobile technologies and a more complex one with higher...
Multi-UAS (MAS) flocking requires multiple controllers with connected communication topologies. Real-time deployment of multi-agents is commonly associated with dynamic communication topologies, which has been considered as a challenging topic. This paper proposes a novel low- computation distributed connectivity control method to generate connected communication topologies and maintain the connectivity...
Real-time localization of mobile target has been attracted much attention in recent years. With the limitation of unavailable GPS signals in the complex environments, wireless sensor networks can be applied to real-time locate and track the mobile targets in this paper. The multi wireless signals are used to weaken the effect of abnormal wireless signals in some areas. To verify the real-time localization...
This letter introduces a formalism for modeling time-variant channels for diffusive molecular communication systems. In particular, we consider a fluid environment where one transmitter nano-machine and one receiver nano-machine are subjected to Brownian motion in addition to the diffusive motion of the information molecules used for communication. Due to the stochastic movements of the transmitter...
Mobile traffic data collected by network operators is a rich source of information about human habits, and its analysis provides insights relevant to many fields, including urbanism, transportation, sociology and networking. In this paper, we present an original approach to infer both spatial and temporal structures hidden in the mobile demand, via a first-time tailoring of Exploratory Factor Analysis...
