A new circularly-polarized (CP) dual-slot antenna fed by a single L-probe is proposed for dualband applications. The zonal slot and annular slot are perturbed symmetrically and asymmetrically to excite CP fields in the lower and upper bands, respectively. Ansoft HFSS was used to simulate the configuration. The return loss, axial ratio (AR) and radiation pattern of the dual-slot antenna are presented.
In this paper, a simple procedure is presented to miniaturize an omnidirectional ultra wideband (UWB) planar antenna using pairs of slots in the radiator and the ground plane. The results presented in this paper show that the proposed method reduces the antenna's surface area by 50%, with the same bandwidth, efficiency and radiation pattern.
