Standard applications are unable to perform well in delay- and disruption-tolerant networks (DTNs) due to frequent lack of end-to-end connectivity and long communication delays. Such applications must be thus adapted to be able to operate in disadvantageous network conditions. In a previous work on adapting standard tactical applications for DTN networks, we proposed how such an adaptation may be...
This work is devoted to the admissibility analysis for singular time-delay systems by using delta operator approach. By estimating the delay term with a two-term approximation, the singular system in delta operator domain is transformed into an interconnection of a time-invariant subsystem with constant delay and a uncertain one. By resorting to the input-output approach, a delay-range-dependent admissibility...
For it can effective representing many practical time-delay systems with low dimension delay channel, the study of coupled differential-difference equations(CDDE) has received renewed attention in recent years. Based on the method of generalized eigenvalue problem(GEVP) of linear matrix inequalities and discretized Lyapunov-Krasovskki functional(DLF), this article gives the accurate estimate of stable...
Phase transition materials (PTM) [1] have shown an immense promise for several applications such as realizing steep switching Phase-FETs [1], augmenting the read operation of memories [2-3], non-linear selectors for cross-point memory arrays [4] and in the design of neurons [5] and oscillators [6]. Their unique properties open up new avenues for other designs as well and therefore, there is a need...
As technology sizes shrink, the developers come upon a problem of static power. Among the different power reduction approaches with multi voltage there are, which can significantly eliminate components of power consumption on system level. But this methods isn't applicable for implementation within functional units. We are considering issues of practical realization such well-known low-level technique...
The classical Cayley-Hamilton theorem is extended to the fractional descriptor continuous-time linear systems. First the theorem is extended to fractional descriptor linear systems with commuting matrices and next to any pair of matrices of the descriptor linear systems. The extensions are based on the application of the Lagrange-Sylvester formula of the function of matrices.
This paper deals with the global state-feedback control for a class of high-order stochastic upper-triangular systems with input time-varying delay. By extending the homogeneous domination approach to stochastic case, skillfully choosing an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasoviskii functional and the low gain scale, the delay-independent state-feedback controller is constructed to guarantee that the closed-loop...
Delay and disruption-tolerant networks (DTNs) pose a number of problems that are uncommon in the commercial, fast Internet, namely, lack of end-to-end connectivity and long delays. Thus, standard tactical applications, such as WWW, e-mail or Blue Force Tracking (BFT), are unable to work in DTNs and must be somehow adapted. In the paper we propose how this adaptation may be achieved, discussing our...
Various network QoS algorithms are analyzed to determine strengths and weaknesses. A proposed multi-mode self-adaptive algorithm is implemented in a network model simulation. By means of the simulations results, it is shown that switching between algorithms on the run based on network traffic status can improve network QoS measurements.
