In this report results of modeling and experimental researches of the photonic crystal fibers positioning control method based on the analysis of a measured optical field intensity and calculation of its discrete values autoconvolution are represented. Efficiency and accuracy of a method were checked by test image moving on the set size supervised by the certified measuring instrument of small moving.
Summary form only given. The recent discovery of electron bunch acceleration to GeV energies using ultra-short laser pulses propagating through centimeter-scale plasmas has stimulated interest in the use of these "mono-energetic" electron bunches to drive self-amplified spontaneous emission (SASE) free-electron lasers (FELs). Theoretically, one can generate 0.1-1 keV coherent FEL photon...
In this work, we review our recent development on nanoultrasonics based on an optical piezoelectric transducer. By embedding strain patterns in piezoelectric nano-layers and by manipulating optical field intensity in temporal and spatial domains, THz nanoacoustic waves with an acoustic wavelength on the order of or shorter than 10 nm can be generated with a nanometer-scaled lateral spot size, much...
The resonant behavior of metallic nano-structures is simulated using local mesh refinement of the FDTD method in 3 Dimensions. The influence of shape and tip geometry on the resonance structure and intensity of the optical fields is examined.
The novel hot electron injection laser (HEL), a three-terminal vertically integrated transistor-laser structure, is designed to investigate and possibly utilize the effects of carrier-heating on the optical gain and wavelength chirp. Simulations show the potential of carrier heating assisted gain switching to directly modulate the optical field intensity at frequencies up to 100 GHz while maintaining...
Summary form only given. Nowadays, a measurement of the intensity of the optical field in integrated optical waveguide devices with a photon scanning tunneling microscope (PSTM) is reasonably routine. However, if one could visualize the evolution of the phase of the light field in real-space, it would yield new and detailed information concerning the properties of wavelength multiplexers, mode converters,...
