A 3.65-GHz all-analog wireless reflector acting as a cooperative diversity repeater is built in 0.13-μm CMOS technology and its performance is evaluated. Interfaced with a folded dipole antenna, the circuit can achieve a 23.5-dB gain for a very low power consumption equal to 300 μW.
This paper deals with the design of LC Voltage Controlled Oscillator (LC-VCO) for GSM applications, implemented in a state-of-the-art 32 nm Planar CMOS technology. A standard VCO is compared with a topology featuring tail decoupling, which, to best of our knowledge, is used for the first time for a wide tuning-range application (i.e. 700 MHz centered at 3.65 GHz). The Decoupled VCO significantly reduces...
A novel idea of azimuthal partition to generate high-power microwave (HPM) with two frequencies [named bifrequency (BF)] in a single device is put forward. According to this idea, a C-band BF magnetically insulated transmission line oscillator (MILO) is designed by tuning the cavity-depth of a conventional MILO in azimuthal direction. The analysis of BFMILO reveals that its characteristics such as...
This paper proposes a novel tapped wiggly-coupling array composed of narrow stub and finger stubs to form a wideband bandpass filter. The bandwidth and center frequency are easily controlled by the alteration of the embedded narrow stubs, while the length of the inner array and stub with fingers responds for the lower and upper transmission zeros. By introducing finger stubs into the unsymmetrical...
A broadband Butler matrix with simple structure is presented, consisting of broad band rectangular patch hybrid couplers and novel broad band phase shifters using lambda/8 open and short stubs. Jumping genes evolutionary algorithm is employed to obtain the optimum design. It is measured to have a wide bandwidth of 35.6% centered at 3.65 GHz.
