There are many books and articles devoted to the political take over of the Communist Party in Yugoslavia and the process of stalinization of the country after 1945. No analysis however, has been conducted to show this process at the local level. The article is a case study of Subotica, a town in the North Vojvodina and its main purpose is to fill the gap in the subject literature.
