Model tests have been conducted and described in the paper. Their aim was to evaluate muscles' activity of the stomatognathic system during mandible's insertion and putting forward. A spatial model of mandible's kinematics was formulated in order to conduct the test. The recorded during clinical trials trajectories of condyloid processes' heads and incisors were the initial data for conducting numerical...
The paper deals with an introduction to the modelling of the bladder crash simulation. In this contribution we will consider that the whole urine-bladder system is kinematically excited. The wall of bladder featuring by non-linear elastic properties undertakes large strains. The urine is a Newtonian fluid, its flow is laminary and non-stationary. Solving this problem the finite element method is applied...
Modelling researches of internal forces which appear at different cervical spine level in situation corresponding to jump into shallow water are presented in this paper. In order to carry out the numerical analysis of interactions between vertebrae two - dimensional model of 75 kg falling down man was created. Working Model 2D system was used to formulate the model which consists of: head, seven cervical...
In this work the human thorax model taking into consideration 12 thoracic vertebrae, intervertebral discs, ribs, sternum and cartilage connections between ribs, sternum and spine was created. The model was used to analysis of stress and strain, which can appear in chest under the influence of external forces.
Modelling researches concern biomechanics of human cervical spine which have been conducted at The Department of Applied Mechanics, Silesian University of Technology are presented in this paper. Static and dynamic models were created for injury mechanisms analysis as well as validations of clinical treatment methods.
