We present an experiment of WDM 100Gb/s coherent NRZ-PM-QPSK transmission over 16 spans of installed SSMF. We used variable span loss, with and without optical dispersion compensation, to investigate maximum non-linear reach.
We present a new single-stage AOTF with low insertion loss of 2.6 dB and low crosstalk between -20 dB and -40 dB at 100-GHz channel spacing. An unique parallelogram design which consists of straight optical waveguides and double-stage polarization beam splitters contributes to reducing both insertion loss and crosstalk
In this paper we present an 8 channel polarisation independent phased array demultiplexer monolithically integrated with photodetectors. The bandwidth of the photodetectors exceeds 10 GHz. On chip losses of the demultiplexer are 3 dB for TE-polarisation. Negligible TE-TM shift was observed.
