Enhanced second and third harmonics were observed simultaneously in a one-dimensional ZnSe/ZnMgS photonic band gap structure. This enhancement comes from the phase matching and a high density of states near the photonic band edge.
Continuous spectral tuning (1420 nm-1700 nm and 2800 nm-4200 nm) is obtained in an optical parametric generator using a cylindrical ppLN, with high efficiency (30%). Optimized phase-matched OPO using cylindrical KTP is also reported and compared to numerical modelling.
We report a pulsed singly-resonant OPO based on noncritically phase-matched ZGP with the lowest ever reported threshold of 2 /spl mu/J. The pump source was a 1-/spl mu/m-pumped PPLN OPO. Tuning its output from 2.3 to 3.7 /spl mu/m resulted in ZGP OPO tuning from 3.7 to 10.2 /spl mu/m.
