In this paper, signal processing techniques are employed for electromagnetic sub-wavelength imaging. Three signal processing algorithms are investigated, including phase conjugation (PC), correlation method (CM) and maximum search and removal method (MSRM).
The paper presents issues of time-delay estimation with application to the direction of sound arrival. The example shows that in the case of voice sources the percentage of correct GCCPHAT estimates is not acceptable. The proposed averaging filter significantly reduces the errors. The dependency of the timedelay estimation accuracy is experimentally evaluated.
This paper introduces a modified algorithm of singularity detection based on modulus maxima for through-wall radar (TWR) targets detection. By tracking the wavelet transform modulus maxima (WTMM) at fine scales, singularities can be detected, and the important information of human target is also selected. According to the singularities of TWR A-scan signal, it can be commendably given prominence to...
The correlation method for cross power spectrum estimation based on FFT is studied in this paper. A modification is made to the current algorithm of the correlation method. Numerical examples show the correctness of the modification.
An adaptive method for compensating mismatch effect on an I/Q demodulation is presented. It is based on the correlation between the desired and image band that appears when there is a mismatch in any branch. The proposed algorithm is specially intended for narrowband low-IF receivers. No calibration source is neccesary. Up to 91 dB of image rejection ratio is achieved with narrow-bandwidth signals...
