We propose a novel DWDM over OCDMA scheme with parallelly combined Super-Structured Fiber Bragg Grating (SSFBG) based encoder/decoders. In our scheme, a group of SSFBGs with the same code but different central reflection frequencies are parallelly combined together to support larger number of DWDM channels. The number of DWDM channels per code can be increased without increasing the chip-rate of SSFBG...
We demonstrate a wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network scheme utilizing long wavelength VCSELs under orthogonally polarized optical injection. Robustness to optical feedback for both upstream and downstream data is shown.
We experimentally demonstrated bidirectional transmission of 155 MS/s radio-over-fibre signals at 2.5 GHz. By using feed-forward correction in Reflective R-SOA. Uplink and Downlink share asynchronously the same subcarrier.
We demonstrate dual low-facet-reflectivity FPLD amplitude squeezers to suppress extinction ratio of down-stream signal by 8.6 dB for injection-locking RSOA in DWDM-PON with error-free 1.25 Gbps up-stream transmission at receiving power of -25.5 dBm.
A new architecture for low-cost WDM-PON is proposed, which combines a multi-wavelength CW source with a reflective SOA at 2.5 Gbps, with an optical budget up to 20 dB.
A novel WDM-PON system delivering bidirectional 1.25-Gbps data and broadcast data is proposed. A subcarrier signal modulates optical carriers of a FP-LD based broadband light source to broadcast to all users. RSOAs are used as modulators for the baseband data in both the OLT and the ONU for a channel. BER and EVM were measured to demonstrate the proposed scheme.
