An extended car-following model is proposed by incorporating the anticipative information by vehicle to vehicle. The stability condition of the proposed model is obtained by using the linear stability theory. The results show that the anticipative information can promote the stability of traffic flow. Numerical simulations are carried out, and the results are consonant with the theory ones.
The vehicle control system based on Network communication becomes increasingly complicated recently. The traditional research only focuses on the improvement of network communication quality or system control performance. The network configuration had been carried out to study the vehicle chassis integrated control system. Based on the MATLAB/Simulink and TrueTime Toolbox, the distributed CAN network...
This paper presents a motion control method of 6WD/6WS (6-wheel-drive and 6-wheel-steering) vehicle using optimum tire force distribution method. When we make used of independent driving and steering system, the motion control performance of the 6WD/6WS vehicle can be improved. For example, vehicle's maneuverability is more improved at low speed and vehicle's stability is also improved at high speed...
The Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) is a robot that uses all sorts of sensors to recognize the external environment and acts voluntarily on its own, based on its judgments of the environment. It consists of the navigation system, vehicle control system, arbiter system and the obstacle detecting system. For the UGV to run safely, it is utterly important to have a correct understanding of the Current...
This paper would like to design the failsafe architecture to ensure the stability and safety of unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). Because the failure in the unmanned systems can cause a nasty accident. So, first, we limit the discussion to the UGV in the unmanned systems. And then we find out failure for the UGV which consists of the variety of the hardware, and discuss the danger. And we define the...
Compared with traditional fuel vehicles, electric vehicles need to deal with the problem of mapping relationship between accelerator pedal and motor-driving torque. At present, this problem is mainly resolved by means of PID control and Fuzzy control. However, the issues on stability, real-time performance, adaptability and complex achievement follow, too. In this paper, a neuromuscular-like model...
Several magnetically levitated transport systems have been constructed, tested and constantly improved. Various technologies for the magnetic levitation system are also being developed and some of them use electromagnets for the vehicle levitation. In this work, an electromagnetically levitated vehicle prototype is studied. The vehicle levitation is achieved through the control of the gaps of these...
