The article discusses the organization architecture of smart learning courses in university students' training. The course architecture is displayed in the form of a diagram. The results of testing of the proposed architecture are presented and analyzed.
The article presents the experience of using problem-based learning at a technical university. The principles of problem-based learning are highlighted, the recommendations for the design of the educational process are summarized and training materials are developed. The results of students' proficiency, gained as a result of problem-based and design technologies, are shown.
Named Entity Recognition (NER) is a very important task in the field of computational linguistics. In the following paper, we have discussed NER in Hindi using Hidden Markov Model (HMM). We have also discussed the challenges faced while performing NER in Indian languages.
Water quality assessment is very important for monitoring water sources and main canal, which is beneficial to offer strategies for the management of water quality and environment. This paper proposes a water quality assessment method based on a sparse autoencoder network. In the proposed approach, a representation model is firstly learned via a sparse autoencoder trained by unlabeled water monitoring...
Cultural dynamics play a significant role in the unfolding of the global software practice. Research in the other disciplines have utilized the idea of cultural models to help researchers investigate cultural influence in their respective fields. Cultural models are defined as the taken-for-granted, pre-supposed models of the world that are shared widely by members of a society and that help the members...
Credit point is the accumulation value of each item or activity that must be accomplished by instructor in Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration of Republic Indonesia. Instructors were facing difficulties in preparing credit point manually. Different understandings of the rules led error in the weighting of each activity assessed. Efficiency in the government operations has been a demand of institutional...
As e-training has shown great promise, Microsoft (China) and the Ministry of Education of China (MOE) have launched e-training for in-service teachers in order to improve teachers' instructional skills. 16,264 primary and secondary school teachers participated in this e-training. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the e-training using the Kirkpatrick's four-level model. Discourse data,...
The task of Named Entity Recognition (NER) is crucial to Natural Language Processing (NLP). NER can be defined as the computational identification and classification of Named Entities in running text. The importance of NER stems from the variety of Natural Language Processing applications where accurate NLP would be highly useful. Such include machine translation and information extraction. In this...
Influence of text domain selection on statistical named entity recognition and classification in Croatian texts is investigated. Two datasets of Croatian newspaper texts of differing text domains were manually annotated for named entities and used for training and testing the Stanford NER system for named entity recognition based on sequence labeling with CRF. State of the art scores were observed...
This paper deals about the Name Entity Recognition (NER) of Manipuri, a highly agglutinative Indian Language. This language is an Eight Scheduled Language of Indian Constitution. NER plays an important role in the applications of Natural Language Processing like Machine Translation, Part of Speech tagging, Information Retrieval, Question Answering etc. Feature selection is an important factor in recognition...
This paper provides the rationale and blueprint for a “cyber red team”, a dedicated military capability whose objective is to improve the cyber defence of the Alliance through the controlled execution of cyber attacks. These cyber attacks would be specifically designed to achieve three goals. The first goal is to assess the effectiveness of the existing security measures in providing mission assurance,...
In this paper we design a multiple features template includes basic features, prefixes and suffixed features, dictionary features and combined features for Chinese named entity recognizer CRF model-based. We do a pre-processing procedure such as pos tag, chunk dictionary-based first. Then for dictionary features, different proportion of dictionaries are used in training and testing, which is different...
The paper has done an empirical study in five large department stores of Baoding to explore the mechanism of influencing factors on customer loyalty. This study finds that traffic facilities, product value, reputation factor, Consumer individual factor, service function quality and shopping environment are six main dimensions in customer loyalty influencing dimensions. And then, taking Baoding department...
Practical training objective is to prepare students for their future jobs. Many university programs integrate practical training as a course component due to its benefits. Application is one of the main processes in practical training. Managing application process manually is a tedious task, thus a system to manage practical training application is proposed to be developed using Rapid Application...
In this paper, a hybrid pattern for Chinese organization names based on Support Vector Machine(SVM) is proposed, which fuses multiple features. With consideration of the features of Chinese organization names, local features and global features are abstracted, and feature-vectors are expressed in binary, the training collection is established. From the experimental results on testing set for 1998...
The Artificial neural networks are relatively crude electronic networks of "neurons" based on the neural structure of the brain. It process the records one at a time, and "learn" by comparing their prediction of the record with the known actual record. The errors from the initial prediction of the first record is fed back into the network, and used to modify the networks algorithm...
A large number of organizations have adopted e-learning programs, and far fewer have addressed the usability of their learning applications. To ensure the quality of e-learning training material, we utilized the usability evaluation heuristic in the design and development processes. The application of exploratory, and usability evaluations during the design-based research study is described. Additionally,...
The present study evaluates effectiveness of delegation plan on managing different branches of Bank Melli Iran (BMI ) in Mazandaran province (north of Iran). The study tries to answer this basic question: Has this plan had its desired effect in managing BMI branch affairs in the province, after being implemented? Results of the data analysis showed that the mentioned plan could have a significant...
Software testing is a core activity in quality assurance. To improve the test process, we can use best practice models which describe in detail what to do in organizational test processes. The improvement activities using best practice models are performed as follows: checking the current status of test processes, suggesting and planning new actions, and implementing the actions. However, it is difficult...
Agile practices have gained momentum within Ericsson. This report describes the experiences of a transition towards agile in a product development unit (PDU) of about 300 people. This is just a small part of the large agile roll out in Ericssonpsilas development organization for multimedia products. This paper describes the approach, results, choices made, lessons learned and next steps.
