Mathematical modelling of the salt movement process under filtration salt transfer considering infiltration process in unsaturated-non-saturated layered soil has been carried out. The solution of this problem was received with a finite difference method. As a result of program implementation of the problem, numerical experiments have been performed and an analysis of the results has been done.
Arsenic displays complex nature in groundwater. The study of geochemical properties of arsenic in groundwater enables not only the prediction of arsenic pollution trend in groundwater, but also the prevention and mitigation of arsenic pollution. This article is mainly about using soil column dynamic experiment to simulate the arsenic kinetic behavior when it migrates in groundwater environment. Studies...
To reveal the migration and transformation rule of nitrogen in the vadose zone and groundwater and to determine the migration mathematical model, we researched the migration and transformation rule of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen in the vadose zone and groundwater by the soil column leaching experiment. The results indicate: using ammonium bicarbonate shows a stronger alkalinity...
This article is though discussed numerical simulation to predict the migration of uranium and strontium in shallow strata in the soil. The result indicated that the uranium will migrate out between 9777a ∼ 13587a in landfill T1, and the uranium will migrate out between 62150a ∼ 91703a in landfill T2. But the strontium won't migrate away completely. Therefore it is need to take necessary measures to...
Based on the geomorphologic features and land use, the universal soil loss equation (USLE) and simple method were used to calculate and estimate the non-point source pollution from Nanchang University campus separately. The results show: the amount of soil erosion is 1352.161t/yr, the quantity of silt entering the lake is 270t/yr, and the chemical loads of TSS, TP, TN were 115.17t/yr, 0.27 t/yr, 1...
In this paper, organic-inorganic complex which is prepared by organically modifying inorganic materials bentonite with natural organic material manure as modifier was used for the adsorption of Pb2+ from aqueous solutions. The influence of adsorption time, temperature, pH value and dosage on the removal of Pb2+ was evaluated. Then, KNO3 and HCl were used for desorption of Pb2+ to study the adsorption...
Based on theory of seepage and solute transport, dynamic coupling model of unsaturation water flow and solute transport is established. The established model is used to model study contaminant transport law in two different penetrability soil under the circumstance of continuous and break pollution source, on the basis of sorption, desorption and biodegradation in soil and water environment. The result...
The soil water retention curve (SWRC) shows the relationship between soil suction pressure and water content, which is one of the key hydraulic properties to study the flow and solute transports in unsaturated zone. A radial basis function network (RBFN) was developed to describe the SWRC with the observed soil suction pressure and simultaneous soil water content derived from laboratory test with...
Non-point source pollution is one of the major problems caused by agricultural activities especially from planting cultivation. This paper describes the application of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model in agricultural non-point source pollution of the Laohahe River watershed, located in northeast China. This initial hydrologic modeling analysis will facilitate future applications of...
Eutrophication is a worldwide pollution problem, when the point source pollution is efficiently controlled, pollution load from non-point source has the increasing proportion in the total load. Xiangxi River is selected as the research demonstration area to conduct preliminary study on non-point source pollution for frequent water bloom. Non-point source pollution factors are analyzed in Xiangxi River...
Solute transport in porous soils has been the topic of experimental, theoretical research and numerical simulation aspects. The complexity of the phenomenon of transport of pollutants in porous soil has to be faced in the most complete way. The contaminant transport processes in porous soils are simulated numerically based on overlap principle for a transient contaminant resource. The influences of...
Aimed at the current situation of nitrogen pollution in groundwater, adsorption characteristics of ammonia-nitrogen onto different lithology named silty sand, silty clay and clay were studied. The results indicated that the process of ammonia-nitrogen adsorption onto soils mainly occurred within 0~2 h, then attended to a dynamic equilibrium. Two kinetic models can describe the experiment data and...
By the soil column experiments, the concentration of the pesticide's solute in the outlet flowing were derived. The model parameters are determined using Kinetic model of two-site absorption-desorption model through experimental results and the MATLAB program developed by the authors. Based on these, the trends of pesticide's solute transport at different time and depth in the soil column was estimated...
This paper takes Wuhanpsilas "800ths tons ethylene project" as an example. According to the involved model parameters, which are obtained from the saturated soil column test of one-dimensional infiltration, and the law of the pollutant concentration in soil column from sewerage leaching experiment, the basic equation of contaminant transport in the porous soil was established, and then,...
In this paper, the author taking the geological problem of environment and occurred geological disasters evaluating objects, apply GIS HAP to evaluate three subsystems of rock environment, environmental soil, water environment which affect the quality of geological environment of Wuhan megalopolis. By analyzing the main factors which affect the subsystems, the author establishes subsystem hierarchy...
In this paper, an undisturbed soil-column experiment and its mathematical model are investigated, and an inverse problem of determining the unknown source/sink parameter and adsorption coefficient simultaneously is considered with the additional breakthrough data. By applying an optimal perturbation algorithm, jiont inversions for the source/sink term and the adsorption coefficient are successfully...
Heavy metals, such as cadmium, mercury etc, if not being properly disposed, may beget serious pollution to the environment, enter ecosystem sooner or later, and get into life chain and food chain, ultimately incur heavy threaten to humanpsilas health. Heavy metals enter the food chain via many ways, the first step pollutes the soil, after that pollutes plants which grow in the polluted soil; or directly...
