In order to detect a weak signal under the condition of intensive noise, the signal and additive white noise were used as input of a bistable stochastic resonance (SR) system. The noise intensity and the system parameters were adjusted adaptively with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm by examining the SR effect on output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). An improved numerical solution for a bistable...
Time-frequency analysis has been widely used in non-stationary signal analysis, and the reassignment method can improve the performance of the time-frequency analysis. But they can not analyze signals at low signal-to-noise ratio. The stochastic resonance system can increase signal-to-noise ratio. Using this feature this paper proposes a time-frequency analysis method applying stochastic resonance...
Based on Hilbert transform pairs of wavelet bases and stochastic resonance, a novel algorithm to detect underwater multipath acoustic transient signal is presented. Dual-tree complex wavelet transform with Hilbert transform pairs of wavelet bases is proposed to use as a solution to translation variance of DWT. Stochastic resonance is used to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio. The performance of the...
To detect the HIS-bundle signals from surface electrophysiological signal (ECG), we used the wavelet transformation to analyze the signals. Then we used stochastic resonance method to amplify the transformed signals. We used the method to analyze a rabbit's surface ECG while compared with its endocardiac signals. It could be seen that these analysis tools enhanced the weak signals effectively
