This study has developed sensitive gold nanoslit biosensing and imaging with surface plasmon (SP) effect for real-time analysis of biomolecular interactions. The main advantages of the proposed system include: 1) a minimum disturbance from buffer solution; 2) requires only a compact detection system; and 3) provides a practical kinetic study of biomolecular interactions.
In this paper, a high sensitivity carbon nanotubes (CNTs) enhanced piezoelectric diaphragm-based immunosensor array for detecting anti-goat IgGs is reported. Anti-goat IgGs with 6 different concentrations was successfully detected at the same time. The average diameter of CNTs was characterized by AFM, changing from original 58 nm to 82 nm after absorbing goat IgGs. A nearly linear relationship between...
A label-free biosensor based on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) was developed. A multi-channel microfluidic chip was integrated with the sensor, providing referencing channel to minimize noise level and improving the throughput. With a CCD as a detector, a sensitivity of 10-4 RIU was demonstrated. The adsorption of S-layer protein was detected successfully by the sensor system.
We present high aspect ratio triangular silver nanoplates (TSNP) as the first highly sensitive localized surface plasmon (LSPR) solution phase ensemble nanostructures. The LSPR and LSPR sensitivity are easily tunable throughout visible and near-infrared biosensing relevant wavelengths. The dependence of the LSPR dielectric sensitivity upon the TSNP structural parameters has been examined in detail...
pH sensitivity of protein mediated gold nanocrystals modified SiO2 have been investigated using a capacitive EIS (electrolyte-insulator-semiconductor) structure and compared with bare SiO2. The SiO2 surface was first silanized using phenyltriethoxy and then a chaperonin protein array was formed on SiO2 surface. Finally, the chaperonin protein lattice is used to deposit gold nanocrystal on SiO2 surface...
In this paper, an optofluidic device was reported for the reproducibility and sensitivity improvement of surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) for molecular detection. The optofluidic device can trap nanoparticles and molecules at a specific location to form nanoparticles/molecules clusters with reliable and hot spot site. With these advantages, this technique enables the early detection of diseases...
An optical biosensor based on gold nanohole arrays was developed using a new nanosphere lithography technique. A vertical deposition method was used to deposit multilayers of a polystyrene (PS) - gold composite on a silanized glass substrate. The SEM images have shown that the gold nanohole and nanoring arrays are distributed uniformly on the substrate. The sensitivity of the gold surface plasmon...
