A simplified form of the nonresonant perturbation technique is described which is suitable for measuring aspects of the performance of commonly used types of UHF and microwave antenna for biomedical radiometry and hyperthermia induction.<<ETX>>
A new type of microstrip slot applicator with a circular aperture has been designed for clinical applications in microwave hyperthermia treatment and microwave radiometry for temperature measurement. We present the frequency study of the microwave performance of this new applicator, measured on a lossy medium according to its parameters (substrate, circular aperture etc.).
