We have developed a multimodal imaging system that combines three modalities, optical spectroscopy, ultrasonography and acoustic radiation force (ARF) for improving diagnosis of breast cancer based on noninvasive interrogation of vasculature. This paper presents a detailed system design. The safety issues regarding the use of laser and ultrasound have also been addressed in this paper. The maximum...
This paper reports the design of an innovative CMOS active pixel sensor (CAPS) using Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology. The CAPS designs approach provides the flexibility and high density features of hybrid pixel sensors with photon integration architecture. This sensor is the key component for the optimized biomarker scanner. A proof-of-principle test chip, paying particular attention to the...
The paper describes the attempt of breast thermography processing applying with ITE, which can be used to obtain multilayer thermometry distribution pictures from original infrared (IR) image of women breasts. In the screening of breast diseases of women, especially breast cancer, we applied ITE to process the IR images. The validity of ITE is verified in the experiments.
